Why are you fat?

Why are you fatIf you intend to lose weight, you must find out the reason why you are fat. Often obese and overweight people find it offensive if somebody is mentioning their extra weight but when they realise that it is really a problem can be too late and fix can’t be achieved that quickly.

What do you say to yourself when you realise that you’re fat? Do you say “Ok! I am fat but I can’t do anything about it!” You just see it and leave?

Or you say “That’s enough! I’m sick of it! I must do something about it! I will try change!” You get up, face your problem and start making plans of solving it!

So why are you fat then?

We can bet that you know it yourself, at least you certainly can give 3 things which you think aren’t good for you, particularly for your body weight. As an example we will give you few most common answers when people are asked why they are overweight:

“I have 3 kids and I run a business. Because of that I eat at wrong times and always huge meals. I don’t eat breakfast because I prepare my kids to school; then I have something at work, takeaway from local chippy shop usually. Besides school, I take my kids to different activities and my day ends very late, only after kids are in beds. Then I have my first real meal.”

As you can see, solution is quite simple. Meals must be more frequent and in smaller portions. For example, this person could have some healthy cereal with low fat milk or yoghurt for a breakfast together with kids. While filling lunch boxes for kids she could prepare something for herself as well, not forgetting few healthy snacks like baby carrots, fruits or berries to have at work.

“I know I don’t drink enough fluids. Well, I drink lots of coffee at work and I love coke. I have coke every day but I read somewhere that it isn’t good for my calories.”

Willpower and discipline is solution for this person. Everyone knows or has heard at least that human must drink 2 litres of water a day, meaning pure water not liquid within coffee or tea, to stay healthy. Ok, first coffee in the morning is more like a tradition to almost everyone and it won’t do much harm but coke can be replaced with water. It must be if she wants to change something. Not straight away but slowly, every other day, then every third. Then drinking water becomes a habit and it’s easy after that.

Take the action

Think about yourself. Do you eat too much? Do you LOOOVE chocolate? Do you drink sweet drinks? You know the answer and you know what’s good for you. No more excuses and start doing something about your weight!
